Ducks are over and it’s time to fish. Me and my neighbor did a 3 hour run yesterday afternoon to see if there were still fish in the sea. Not pictured are the trout, red, and flounder we caught as well. Didn’t feel like pulling them out of the ice. Winter fishing can be awesome. Less people, more fish. We had an incredible day out on the waters of Port Aransas with a fantastic father and son duo. The weather conditions were near perfect, with calm seas and clear skies. As we set out early in the morning, our target species for the day was redfish, and boy, did we find them! The father and son showed great enthusiasm and quickly got the hang of casting their lines. It didn't take long before we started getting some solid bites. The redfish were biting aggressively, and our guests were thrilled as they reeled in one after another. We primarily used live shrimp as bait, which proved to be irresistible to the redfish in the area. By the end of the trip, our guests had landed an impressive haul of redfish, ranging from 20 to 30 inches in length. It was truly a memorable fishing experience for both the guests and myself.
